ICI Services Selected for PMS 317 Technical Services Contract

August 29, 2014

Virginia Beach – ICI Services announced today that it has been awarded a $70.3 million, five-year prime contract to provide technical services for PMS 317, the LPD 17 and Dock Landing Ship Replacement (LX(R)) Program Office.

More than half of the LPD 17 Class ships have been delivered, and all have been contracted, so the focus of PMS 317 has shifted from ship design to production.  PMS 317 is also responsible for the LX(R) future acquisition program.

The contract calls for more than 100 personnel to provide program management, contract analysis, acquisition and strategic support; ship engineering, research and technical support; systems integration and testing support; ship class production management and information technology support; and post-delivery support. The work will be performed in Washington D.C.; Pascagoula, MS; San Diego, CA; and Norfolk, VA.

ICI Services assembled and led an impressive team of large and small businesses for the contract: Engility Corporation (Formerly L-3 Communications), American Systems Corporation (ASC), TASC and Tech-Marine Business Inc.

Earlier in August, PMS 317 selected ICI Services for an $11.4 million small business set aside contract to provide financial and logistics services. ICI Services Vice President and Systems Engineering Division General Manager Don Frahler, a veteran of PMS 317 support, will be program manager for both the small business set aside and unrestricted contracts.

ICI Services is a medium-sized professional services company headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA. The corporation has more than 700 employees providing engineering, test and evaluation, logistics, information technology, environmental, range and program support services to the United States Navy, Army and Department of Homeland Security in 24 states and the District of Columbia.
