Navy Selects ICI Services to Continue Providing Unrep Engineering and Logistics

Virginia Beach, VA –  ICI Services Corporation announced today that it was awarded a three-year, $2.7 million contract to continue providing Underway Replenishment (Unrep) Systems engineering and logistics services to the Ship Defense and Expeditionary Warfare Department of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Port Hueneme Division in Port Hueneme, CA.  

NSWC Port Hueneme is the Design Lead and In-Service Engineering Agent for all Unrep systems – used to transfer fuel, potable water, munitions, provisions and spare parts between ships at sea – for the US Navy, Coast Guard and Military Sealift Command ships, as well as allied foreign navies.

Karen Stanton is ICI’s project manager for the contract, a position she has held for the past three years. She will continue to manage the contract out of the ICI Services' Oxnard office. Work will also be performed at land-based test sites, onboard ships and in ports nationwide as well as overseas. Subcontractors for this contract include AMSEC, Bruce S. Rosenblatt & Associates, Kratos Defense & Rocket Support Solutions, and the Oldenburg Group.

In addition to this effort, ICI Services is performing on three other prime contracts at NSWC Port Hueneme. ICI also supports Weapons System Integration and Combat Systems modernization and logistics for the Air Dominance Department and provides Ship Self Defense Systems engineering, software, information assurance and integrated logistics support to the Ship Defense and Expeditionary Warfare Department. All of these contracts are being performed within the corporation’s Engineering Services Division headed by Senior Vice President Mike Harmon.
