ICI Services to Increase Support to the NUWC Newport Sensors and Sonar Department

Virginia Beach, VA – ICI Services Corporation announced today that it is a member of a Thor Solutions LLC Team chosen to provide business operations support for the Sensors and Sonar Systems Department (Code 15) of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport.

Under the $20.9 million, 5-year contract, ICI Services will provide information technology, financial, and program support services to Code 15. The Department is responsible for developing and applying innovative science and sonar system engineering to the undersea warfare capabilities of submarine and surface forces. Code 15 is the Navy’s leader in undersea environmental acoustics.

This new contract falls within ICI Services’ Management Systems Division, led by Vice President and Division General Manager Richard Miner. This ICI Services’ division provides NUWC Newport a broad range of services under five prime contracts and multiple subcontracts. This includes base-wide Human Capital Management Department (Code 118) and Corporate Operations (Code 11) support, as well as facility operations, test and evaluation, facility hardware and software maintenance, and logistics support to Code 15 and to the Undersea Warfare Weapons, Vehicles and Defensive Systems Department (Code 85). The Management Systems Division also provides logistics and configuration management for the Electromagnetic Systems Department (Code 34) and technical support to the Undersea Warfare Combat Systems Department (Code 25.)

Under other prime contracts, the Management Systems Division provides Defense Travel System and financial support to the Commander of the Pacific Surface Fleet; financial and logistics support to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Systems Center Pacific; facilities support to NUWC Keyport; and command operational support to NSWC Corona.
